The last few seconds are the whole point
Keep the broom. Skip the dustpan. Sweep crumbs, litter, or hair to the opening and this stationary vacuum pulls the pile into its bin.
Crumbs collect under the table. Cat litter scatters outside the box. Pet hair gathers along the wall. A quick sweep should be simple, but the dustpan adds one more round of bending down, chasing the last dust line, and putting everything away.
EyeVac removes that final step. Sweep dry debris to the opening and a sensor starts the motor. It does not roam the house or sweep for you. It is, quite simply, a stationary electric dustpan—and that small shortcut is why people keep one near the mess that returns every day.
It earned its place where sweeping never stops
EyeVac's predecessor, SweepEZ, arrived in 2005, and EyeVac entered salons and the beauty industry in 2007. The fit was obvious: when hair needs to be swept after every client, bringing each pile to one fixed vacuum is faster than reaching for a full-size vacuum or bending down with a dustpan.
The same idea works at home wherever the mess keeps returning—the kitchen, dining table, entryway, or the space around a pet's bowl or litter box. This is not a bigger cleaning system. It is a quicker finish for the small cleanup you already do.
From crumbs and rice to litter and pet hair
On hard floors, EyeVac is made for everyday dry debris. In Vacuum Wars' independently purchased comparison, both Home and Pro picked up sand, cat litter, human and pet hair, and ordinary dry floor debris. A separate two-week Bob Vila kitchen test found that Pro handled rice, flour, dust, and dog hair.
Home was already capable of ordinary household messes. Pro produced more measured airflow and suction in the independent test, which matters more in salons, grooming spaces, or homes that collect a much larger volume of hair and fur throughout the day.
You still have to bring the mess to it
The sensor notices motion near the intake; it does not recognize dirt or reach for a pile sitting off to the side. Aim the debris toward the center and sweep it close enough to trigger the vacuum. An editor who used EyeVac Air also found that centered piles worked better than debris left to the side.
It will not clean a room by itself, pull dirt from carpet or rugs, reach under furniture, handle stairs, or replace the broom. The manuals limit it to dry debris on hard floors—not water, wet food, mud, hot ash, sharp objects, or large items.
The burst is short. The noise is not.
The independent Home-versus-Pro test measured a pickup cycle of about seven seconds. It is brief, but it sounds like a regular vacuum while it runs. In automatic mode, a foot or pet moving close to the sensor can also switch it on unexpectedly.
Manual mode is the calmer choice in a busy walkway or anywhere an unexpected start could bother people or pets. The manuals warn against leaving automatic mode unattended near small children or small animals.
Bagless does not mean maintenance-free
Home has a 4-liter bin, Pro has a 4.8-liter bin, and Air has a 3.2-liter bin, so you do not empty the canister after every small pile. You still need to empty it and clean the intake, sensor, and filters. Hair and fine dust can clog a filter and weaken pickup; a washed filter must dry completely before it goes back in.
It also needs a permanent patch of floor near the recurring mess and a wall outlet. The manuals say to plug it directly into the wall—without an extension cord, power strip, adapter, or converter—and to unplug it when it is unattended or not in use.
Before you make room for one
EyeVac makes the most sense in a home or workspace with plenty of hard flooring and at least one area you sweep every day. Home is the straightforward household model. Pro earns its higher price when hair or fur piles up repeatedly or commercial use matters. Air adds H13 HEPA and activated-carbon filtration, but it is not the strongest EyeVac and has the smallest bin of the three.
Skip it if most of your floors are carpeted, you want a machine that cleans on its own, or you already reach for a cordless stick vacuum without a second thought. EyeVac removes the dustpan step—not the cleaning itself. The best buying question is not how impressive the sensor looks; it is how many times you pick up a dustpan in the same spot each day.

AIRTHEREAL's warranty table gives T1 one year, but the listing itself gives no duration and the manufacturer terms do not clearly identify Sain Store as an eligible seller. A four-pack of T1 replacement filters is sold by the maker and appears on Amazon as ASIN B0D8VLFCLJ.
GAVASTO: five years, but only for household use
The exact listing is sold by Bobodune, ships from Amazon, and shows free 30-day refund or replacement. GAVASTO's official terms cover eligible Amazon purchases for five years, but only for the original owner under normal household use. Wear items and commercial use are excluded, and warranty service goes through GAVASTO.
What the visible Amazon reviews actually describe
For both machines, verified purchasers repeatedly mention easier pet-hair and crumb pickup, less bending, and simple bin emptying. Noise comes up for both. AIRTHEREAL has one visible complaint about hair clogging the intake; GAVASTO reviews mention a small opening that can clog on larger pieces, plus one sensor that briefly began triggering on its own.
