Foam changes the feel; air-only changes the packed size
The rechargeable pumps inflate these mats and help pull the air back out. You still fold and roll each one yourself. OGERY adds foam cushioning for nights by the car; FLEXTAIL R03 AVS leaves out the foam and packs to about 11 inches long.
OGERY and FIELDOOR combine foam with air. The foam supplies cushioning, and a rechargeable pump helps fill and empty the mat. The foam remains inside when you pack, so both leave a substantial roll to carry.
R03 uses air chambers without foam. Its Regular version weighs 20.1 oz with the pump, according to FLEXTAIL. The smaller roll is useful when a mat has to share backpack space with the rest of your gear.
The pump removes the wrestling match, not the foam. OGERY still rolls to about 28 inches long; the foam-free R03 reaches an 11-inch packed length.
Visible owners often liked the foam support and easy setup. Individual owners also reported leaks or pumps that stopped working.

Slide the switch; then let the foam finish expanding
OGERY advertises powered inflation in about 40 seconds. Treat that as a maker claim, not a promise for every temperature and storage condition. Let compressed foam recover, then adjust firmness with air.
Let the pump pull out the air, then roll OGERY yourself
Switch OGERY's pump to exhaust. As it pulls out the air, roll the mat from the opposite end. Owners still report that returning the pad to factory tightness takes practice. Keep the carry bag nearby and do not expect backpack size.
R03: reverse the pump, then fold and roll
The removable Air Capsule charges by USB-C. To inflate, open the AVS valve, insert the capsule and switch it on. For active deflation, remove it, switch it on, reverse it and reinsert it. The auxiliary valve also lets air escape quickly. After deflation, switch the pump off, then fold and roll the pad into its bag. These steps follow the FLEXTAIL-branded AVS manual hosted by a retailer.
R03 owners like the small pack; rolling still takes work
Five reviews were visible on FLEXTAIL's R03 page on September 12, 2026. Owners described quick inflation, compact packing and comfort. One reviewer found it awkward to expel the last air because both valves sit at the same end; another used the reversed pump to help. These are individual accounts from the maker's store, not a long-term durability test.
