Shark CryoGlow: LED sessions, cooling, and a routine to keep
The original U.S. FW312 adds under-eye cooling to a rigid LED mask. Compare the two jobs—and the fit, charging and care they require.

- What it is
- Red, blue and infrared LED presets, plus a separate cooling-only option.
- Best fit
- You want preset sessions and are comfortable with a rigid mask, regular charging and cleaning after use.
- Know first
- Read the manufacturer’s contraindications before buying, especially light-sensitivity and medication restrictions. This model is FW312, not CryoGlow Plus.

WIRED’s May 16, 2025 reviewer used the original CryoGlow for eight-plus weeks. She liked the remote and cooling, but found it bulky, with audible fans and cooling that reduced battery life. This was an international original-model test, not a verified U.S. FW312 owner sample or our own test.
LED and cooling do different jobs
Manufacturer presets are 6 minutes for Better Aging, 8 for Skin Clearing, 4 for Skin Sustain, and 5–15 for cooling only. The original LED device is FDA-cleared for specified fine-line/wrinkle and inflammatory-acne uses. Cooling is a soothing feature, not the cleared acne or wrinkle treatment; neither clearance nor a reviewer’s experience guarantees your result.
The manufacturer’s guide calls for wiping and fully drying the unplugged device after each use. Charging takes about three hours; it cannot run while charging, and its battery is not replaceable. Check the current support guidance and fit before committing to a daily routine.
